1. Within the scope of the Public Finance Talks event series, a talk titled “An Analysis of Democracy Through the Use of National Wealth” was organized on 06.12.2016 with a presentation by Assist. Prof. Dr. İrem BERKSOY.
2. Within the scope of the Public Finance Talks event series, a talk titled “Taxation of Foundations in Türkiye” was organized on 01.11.2016 with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Erkan AYDIN.
3. Within the scope of the Public Finance Talks event series, a talk titled “Evaluation of the Draft Tax Procedure Law Proposal” was organized on 11.04.2016 with presentations by Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÇELEN and Assist. Prof. Dr. A. Bumin DOĞRUSÖZ.

9. The long-running Public Finance Talks series organized by our department was held during the 100th anniversary of the Republic with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Erkan Aydın titled “A General Overview of Tax Reforms in Türkiye from the Proclamation of the Republic to the Present Day.”

1. In February 2010, a panel titled “Reflections of the Global Crisis on Turkish Public Finance” was organized (In Memory of Prof. Dr. Halil Nadaroğlu). The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, participated in the panel as a speaker.
2. On 30 April 2008, a panel titled “Reflections of the Global Crisis on Turkish Public Finance: Targets and Expectations” was organized (In Memory of Prof. Dr. Halil Nadaroğlu). The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Kemal Unakıtan, participated in the panel as a speaker.

7. Between 12–16 May 2003, the 18th Turkish Public Finance Symposium was organized in cooperation with the Department of Public Finance of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
8. On 16 December 2002, a panel titled “Planned Regulations in the Turkish Tax System” was organized (In Memory of Prof. Dr. Halil Nadaroğlu). The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Sümer Oral, participated in the panel as a speaker.
9. On 6 June 2002, a panel titled “Tax Incentives Encouraging Institutional Investors in Capital Markets” was organized (In Memory of Prof. Dr. Adnan Tezel).
10. On 19 February 2002, a panel titled “Draft Law on the Special Consumption Tax” was organized (In Memory of Prof. Dr. Halil Nadaroğlu).
11. On 4 November 1999, a conference titled “What Kind of Income Taxation Toward the 21st Century?” was organized with the participation of Prof. Dr. Manfred Rose from the Alfred Weber Institute, Faculty of Economics, Heidelberg University.
12. Between 27 May – 1 June 1996, an international symposium was organized in İstanbul and Ankara in cooperation with the University of Kansas School of Law (USA) and the Umut Foundation.
13. In June–July 1997, a preparatory program for Inspectorate and Accounts Expert examinations was organized.
14. On 17 June 1994, Prof. Dr. Albert J. Radler from the University of Hamburg delivered a conference titled “Recent Issues and Developments in International Taxation.”
15. On 3 December 1992, a panel titled “Evaluation of the 1993 Fiscal Year Budget” was organized.
16. Between 23–25 May 1991, the 7th Turkish Public Finance Symposium was organized on the topic of “Fiscal Relations Between Central and Local Administrations.”
17. In January 1990, faculty members of the Department of Public Finance traveled to Brussels with the support of the Public Finance Research and Application Center and participated in a three-day seminar program on the Budget of the European Community.
18 In 1989, a panel titled “Evaluation of the Latest Amendments in Tax Laws” was organized.
19. In 1988, a panel titled “Privatization of State Economic Enterprises (SEEs)” was organized.
OTHER ORIENTATION PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
- The opening ceremony of the 2018–2019 academic year of the Faculty of Economics at Marmara University and the orientation meeting for first-year students of the Department of Public Finance were held on 17 September 2018 with the participation of faculty members of the Department of Public Finance.
2. On 28 September 2016, an orientation meeting was organized with presentations by faculty members of the Department of Public Finance in order to meet newly enrolled students and introduce the Department of Public Finance.
