The Public Finance Department conttinues education activities within the Faculty of Economics in Göztepe Campus. The overall number of enrolling students of the department is about 900. In the 2011-2012 academic year 130 students graduated from the Department.
The curriculum of the bachelor program consists of courses within the scope of four branches: Theory of Public Finance, Fiscal Economics, Fiscal Law and Budget and Fiscal Planning. Students are also encouraged to take courses from different departments such as Economics, Business Management and Law, together with their main courses, which allow them to advance their knowlegde.
Graduates of the Public Finance Department find employment especially in administrative units of governmental institutions and audit and inspection boards. Beside, they can not only serve in private (mostly in accounting and finance departments) sector, but also can be self-employed as an independent accountant or financial advisor.
